GLASGOW WOMEN'S LIBRARY, 19-22 LANDRESSY STREET
Glasgow Women’s Library (GWL), set up in 1991, is run on feminist principles and holds a treasure trove of artefacts and archive materials that celebrate the lives, histories and achievements of women.
Empowering women is one of their key aims, with learning at the heart of what they do. All items in the GWL collection are donated and try to represent the broad range of thoughts, ideas and debates among the feminist movement. In 2013 GWL relocated to Landressy Street, for which Shadbolt Doors supplied doors and frames painted Jet Black and Mouse Grey.
