Stein’s Berlin Restaurant


Sited in the grade II listed embassy building of the Goethe-Institute in South Kensington near to the Royal Albert Hall, Stein’s Berlin is a new bar and restaurant serving authentic new German cuisine.

Designed by 3s architects and designers and built by 4-interior, the restaurant delivers a unique concept for this new facility. Incorporating a modern chalet style with a city twist, the scheme provides a well designed, contemporary and cosy atmosphere.

The ground floor of the building houses the main restaurant and bar with restroom, office and storage facilities in the basement. In addition, a large terrace is also utilised to full affect providing fantastic views overlooking Princes Garden.

Shadbolt were asked to assist with the project, manufacturing and supplying bespoke FSC certified Terril Matte Formica laminated FD30 fire doors, with matching pre-finished painted clippings and factory primed hardwood frames. Additionally, doors were supplied for the disabled toilets ready to be clad to match the wall cladding.
